St George Illawarra Head of Athletic Performance Nathan Pickworth has provided the following update on the health of Dragons centre Euan Aitken.

Aitken suffered a subluxation of the shoulder in the Dragons' 52-22 win over the Sea Eagles at WIN Stadium, Wollongong last weekend.

"Upon consultation with a shoulder specialist it was determined that the best course of action for Euan Aitken's shoulder injury is conservative management with the hope that he may be able to return to play this season," Pickworth said.

"As the injury progresses a decision will be made regarding the need for off-season surgery."
