Eels winger Blake Ferguson could miss the rest of the season with a knee infection, according to a report by Fairfax Media.

The NSW Origin star remains hospitalised with a knee infection and no time frame on when he will return to the club.

He underwent minor surgery after his side's win over the Wests Tigers a fortnight ago.

Coach Brad Arthur confirmed to News Corp that there was no return date for Ferguson at this stage.

Ferguson arrives at Parramatta at the end of last season after winning the 2018 premiership with the Sydney Roosters.

  1. Hope all goes well for Blake who showed the roosters what a blunder it was by Robinson showing him the door for Ryan Hall and origin discard Morris.
Can’t see the rooters doing much at the business without someone of his ability on the wing.
