Sharks front row Andrew Fifita has pleaded to NSW coach Brad Fittler and the selectors to pick him for game's one and two of the State of Origin series, offering to play for free.

The 28-year old had made prior commitments to his national duties for Tonga in their international clash against Samoa in Campbelltown Stadium next month, making him unavailable for game two of the Origin series.

Fifta has maintained he still has an allegiance to NSW and that he would love to don the Blues jersey once again.

“If they can make it happen I wouldn’t say no," Fifita told Triple M radio.

"There is nothing more in the world I want than to win a State of Origin series. I’ve never won one before. I’d love to win one. I wouldn’t let the team down.

"My heart is through and through a Blue. If they can make it happen... I’d play for free. I’d donate the money to charity, I don’t really mind.

"If we get the series win and I get that under my belt and have a series win to my name I have done pretty much everything in the game."

It is believed that Fittler is currently leaning against selecting Fifta, but the situation remains up in the air.

"I still feel pretty strongly about the decision he made, but I'm going to give it another week," Fittler told the Sydney Morning Herald.

Fifta was below his best in Cronulla's gritty 22-16 win over Canterbury on Sunday night, but he did gain a team-best 169 metres and his recent hot form suggests he is worthy of selection in the Blues' 18-man squad.
