Zero Tackle has taken a look at each clubs’ lists and picked one rookie which could set the NRL alight for their side in 2019.

Which player from your club will have a breakout season?

Brisbane Broncos

Patrick Carrigan

The Broncos are known for developing some of the most destructive forwards in the game, and they could have created another one in the form of Patrick Carrigan.

The 20-year old was apart of this year’s Queensland Emerging Origin squad, as well as captaining the Maroons’ Under-20s side to their first ever win against the junior Blues.

Playing for the Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the Intrust Super Cup, Carrigan managed a huge 1112.2 post contact metres, and would be quite damaging in a Broncos jersey.

  1. Corey Horsburgh is looking to “finally” crack the Canberra team after signing…only last year…?

    Errrrrrmmmmmm….you wot?

  2. If Bennett gives Corey Allan a crack at FB for the Rabbitohs next year every other name won’t rate a mention by comparison in 2019. Or have any of the others represented their country via the PM’s XIII without having played a single game in the NRL?

  3. I’ve gone head to head as opposing halfbacks against Scott Drinkwater for 10+ years on the Central Coast growing up and I’ve never seen a better player come through the ranks in my age or above or below. The bloke is an absolute freak, it’s actually so surprising he’s been trained into a 1, as he’s an unbelievable 6 or 7. Passing game that could definitely one day take him to an Australia jersey. Good luck to all the boys on this article 👍🏼

    • Uncle Nick 📞☎Here that❓❓❓Drinkwater from what I have seen is a really classy player, did you know he could play halfback❓❓❓When Cooper Cronk retires at the end of 2020, Drinkwater might be just the bloke we are looking for💪🐔👍

      • So you’re dismissing Lam as the next halfback, without him even been given the chance? If he has a good year in England, he looks even more likely to take over as half.
Unless they buy an experienced English half? Can’t buy an experienced half here now.

  4. Izaia Perese- Wallanies youngster joining Brisbane. If he doesn’t crack the squad this year, early ROTY candidate for 2020.
