The Parramatta Eels have confirmed ten players will leave the club at the end of the 2026 season.

Headling the list of departing Eels players are Jack de Belin, Dylan Walker, Kelma Tuilagi, and Richie Penisini.

While the club also confirmed Jonah Pezet, Jake Tago, Ryan Matterson, Sean Russell, Apa Twidle, Toni Mataele will depart Parramatta.

The Eels also confirmed club legend Nathan Cayless will be leaving for a head coaching position at an English Super League club.

Russell and Twidle will depart for the Perth Bears in their maiden endeavour into the NRL in 2027, while star player Matterson will retire on medical grounds following an ongoing battle with concussion.

Pezet will arrive in Brisbane on a long-term contract after a stopover deal in Parramatta for 2026.

Tuilagi will return to the Storm, where he progressed through the Victorian pathways and was a member of the 2020 premiership-winning squad.

It is unknown where veteran forward de Belin will be heading in 2027 after reports emerged last week the club opted against activating next year's option for the former Dragons player.

“I could probably go over (to the Super League) if I wanted to, but I've got a young family here, and we're all settled,” de Belin said to the Daily Telegraph.

“I don't want to move them, and I feel like I can still match it in the NRL.

“I get I'm not a representative player anymore, but I know I still have plenty to offer.

“The legs still feel young, and I definitely feel up to speed with the NRL, even though it's got crazy fast. I'd love to keep running around and don't want to prematurely retire.”

De Belin last played in the NRL in Round 23 against the Rabbitohs, playing 27 minutes.

Penisini's location for 2027 is also up in the air, while Mataele has signed with the Sea Eagles on a two-year deal to add to their forward depth.
