Penrith's Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has been dropped from both the first-grade and reserve team for his poor form.

And the Daily Telegraph is reporting that it has put question marks over his future at the club, who are believed to be shopping him to Parramatta.

It is understood that the Eels have tabled an offer for the New Zealand international that they deem reasonable but have not yet heard from the Panthers.

Watene-Zelezniak has been okay in his 10 games this season, but was dropped by coach Ivan Cleary following last week's loss to the New Zealand Warriors.

He will join brother Malakai Watene-Zelezniak on the sidelines this weekend, who also can't even get a gig in the NSW Canterbury Cup.

The pair will watch Penrith tackle the Eels at Bankwest Stadium on Thursday night with the knowledge that one of them could end up at the local rivals.

  1. Pretty sad really .
Should at least get a run in Canterbury Cup.
If he goes, plus his brother, Maloney, Mansour? Plus what about the extra money left from Tyrone May.
Then Penrith would have a motza to spend wherever they like.
Could say, who wants to go to a club playing like Z grade?
Though, if there’s money to be had, a chance at first grade? I’m sure there would at least least plenty of up & coming players around, keen to go there .
Good to see more locals get the chance. But if they must buy? Steal some other clubs up & comers!
    Cronulla likes to buy Panthers.
Time for some pay back Sharks!!!! 👍

  2. 1. DWZ
    2. Sivo
    3. Jennings
    4. Gutho
    5. Ferguson

DWZ really wants fullback and is good there, not as error ridden as Gutho. Sivo and Jennings look good on one edge, Sivo being a strong runner and good finisher and Jennings with his experience. Gutho and Ferguson form a new look edge but a good one. Been rumoured as a pairing for state of Origin this year. Gutho would be given opportunities to get early ball and have some mismatches, plus we know hoe good Fergo has been. Both are good under the high ball and that could be a great scoring option. Could really be a fire backline

  3. HAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣 ChocolateSoldierOfDivide how funny is that. I’ve been telling you that Penrith Juniors are useless and now they can’t even give him away to their arch rivals Parramatta. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣👍 The local junior bloke is so hopeless that he did not just get dropped from 1st grade but reserves also all in the one BIG drop ….. Great juniors out Penrith way 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣…..💪🐔👉==========🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣👍

  4. what payback?
Im not fan of the sharks but the Panthers chose to let their players go. Hardly payback for poor decisions
