Cowboys wonder boy Kalyn Ponga has become the latest target in the poaching war between the AFL and rugby league.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the 18-year old star of the future is being courted by the Brisbane Lions, who hope to lure him to their code.
Ponga trained with the Lion's academy side when he was 15 and was labelled the best talent they had ever seen.
Brisbane list manager Peter Schwab believed Ponga’s potential to be an AFL player was limitless and the club had remained in contact with him since he departed their academy.
