The North Queensland Cowboys have extended the contract of 25-year-old Corey Jensen through the 2021 season.

Jensen grew up in Northern Queensland who played his junior footy at Bowen Seagulls before coming through the Cowboys’ system.

Jensen has played 41 NRL matches since debuting in 2017, including the 2017 grand final.

When not playing first grade, the prop has been a standout for the Townsville Blackhawks.

“We’ve invested a lot of time and effort into Corey and there is no doubt he has made significant progress in his development over the past few seasons,” Cowboys Director of Football Peter Parr told the club's website.

“We absolutely believe Corey’s best football is in the near future and he is going to be a player that has real upside in the coming years.”
