Cooper Cronk has dismissed speculation linking him with a switch to rugby union next season.

Cronk will leave the Melbourne Storm at the end of the season, making the move to Sydney to be closer to his fiance, Foxsports presenter Tara Rushton.

Recent reports had linked Cronk with a switch to rugby union, with the Sydney-based NSW Waratahs as a potential suitor.

“That won’t be happening,” Cronk said.

“Everyone has their right to an opinion but I haven’t had any conversation with rugby union and I have no intention.

“My intention is to make a decision on if I play again next year not where I am going to play.”

Despite the speculation, Cronk says he is still no closer to a decision on whether he will play on next season but says physically, he feels like he could.

“I think I am physically and mentally able to play on,” Cronk said.
