November 1 marks the date that clubs can start signing new recruits ahead of the 2019 season.

That's right, we haven't even kicked off the 2018 season yet but clubs will already be looking at their recruitment for the season after.

With a wealth of talent coming off contract, clubs not only need to look to re-sign and keep their own stars but also attempt to poach them from rival clubs.

After a big recruitment drive in the 2017 season, the West Tigers head into 2018 with the fewest players off contract in 2018.

The Penrith Panthers and Cronulla Sharks also have fewer than 10 players off contract next season.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Melbourne Storm have over 20 players off contract headline by captain Cameron Smith. Their list also includes Billy Slater, Tim Glasby, Curtis Scott and Felise Kaufusi just to name a few.

Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy is also off contract at the end of 2018 which will throw another spanner in the works for the Victorian club.

The Cowboys, Knights and Raiders are also expected to be quite active in the market, with large lists of off contract players.

The Raiders, in particular, have three-quarters of their 2017 spine off contract in Blake Austin, Aidan Sezer and Josh Hodgson and will need to decide if that combination is right going forward.

Who do you want to see your club try and retain?

And who do you hope your club is targeting?
