Club Statement on Vai Toutai

The Parramatta Eels have today made the following statement regarding Vai Toutai.

The Club is aware of an incident that took place in December 2016 and, as per the Club’s normal protocols, the Club kept all relevant stakeholders updated throughout the entire process.

This included the NRL Integrity unit.

The Club and Vai Toutai have agreed to a mutual release from his contract and he will not be with the Eels in 2017.

  1. Haha spoken like a true eels fan….. first club statement released in the first week of the new year…. 51 to go

    • Not commenting on the statement. I was referring to the fact that the article is irrelevant considering the previous article already stated everything.

  2. A very talented player that has never quite kicked on. Wherever he ends up I hope he finds the form he is capable of.

    • Is he though? Or was he just a good junior that fell back into line when he started open grade at the highest level like so many other players? The guy has played 34 NRL games over the space of 4 years with at least 4 NRL pre-seasons under the belt too, if he hasn’t kicked on by now, I don’t think he ever was going to in the first place

  3. Eels can’t ever get out of the spotlight can they, going to be another long year in the new for eels fans I suspect.

    • I’m sure their efforts on the field will more than make up for that holmsey. We will know what’s what come Round 1 (Sun 05 Mar 2017, 4:00pm, Brookvale Oval). 😉

      • I honestly see parra finishing top 8 next year possible top 4 but I don’t see them beating manly at brookvale round 1. Manly have no excuses, fully fit Turbo and full fit DCE with a proper solid number 6. I have manly edging them out 16 to 24.

  4. so Manly play Parra at home first round then play Souths, ah well looks like Manly will be 0-2 first two games
