Parramatta have terminated Tony Williams' NRL Playing Contract immediately, after failing the NRL's Testing Policy for the second time.

Nathan Davis has been hit with a "substantial fine" although the club have kept him under contract.

The Eels released the following statement on their website.

TONY WILLIAMS:

Following a second contravention of the NRL Testing Policy for illicit & hazardous drugs, the Parramatta National Rugby League Club Pty Limited has terminated Tony Williams' NRL Playing Contract, effective immediately.

In addition, the NRL has suspended Tony Williams for 12 weeks in accordance with the Policy.

The Parramatta Eels Club will continue to offer welfare assistance and support to Tony.

NATHAN DAVIS:

Following a second contravention of the NRL Testing Policy for illicit & hazardous drugs, the Parramatta National Rugby League Club Pty Limited has imposed a substantial fine on Nathan Davis.

In addition, the NRL has suspended Nathan Davis for 12 weeks in accordance with the Policy.

The Parramatta Eels Club will continue to offer welfare assistance and support to Nathan.
