Cowboys excitement machine Jaxon Purdue lit up the NRL early in the season.
His speed is the stuff of nightmares for opposition players, coaches and fans.
The fact he has been overlooked for the horribly out of form Gehamat Shibasaki for a bench spot, is sweet relief for this NSW Blues fan.
There's every chance the bench backline option won't get on, but Purdue would have gained so much from the week in camp, at very least.
Purdue is lightning, can cover fullback, wing, centre or five-eighth. He covers spots for both Shibasaki and Ezra Mam, who in no world deserved his selection.
