Cronulla Sharks players are now no longer allowed to frequent at one of the Sutherland Shire's most popular hotspots, after a late night incident before Christmas.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the Cronulla Sailing Club have told the Sharks their players will not be allowed back into the venue, after a number of scuffles broke out on December 21 featuring lower-grade players, with the police needing to be called to the venue.

The Herald understand some first-grade players were at the venue that night, but didn't get involved in any altercation.

Cronulla CEO Barry Russell did confirm the club were aware of the situation, and told the Herald it was a very seriously matter.

“I can confirm there was an incident, which is being investigated by the club. The club has informed the [NRL] integrity unit and is working with police with their investigation,” Russell said.

“We will take the appropriate action once the investigation is concluded.”

  1. the sharks are dead set a team in trouble ,look @ there coach sacked for ever i say good residence 2 him , now this banned from
the sailing club , now gallen running him mouth off @ hopa , hopa will beat gall the sharks should be merg with the st george illawarra & call them the st george shire it would be a good fit & bring back the central coact bears

  2. Umm nah! Not a Sharks fan but its the young and dumb that have ruined it for their roster here. And the merger you suggest will never happen. I live on the Central Coast and would love to see the Bears back in the comp.
You might want to get a dictionary ‘onloan’ too. Unless its the auto spell that’s ruining the grammer.

  3. This club seriously needs punting. All they do is drink and cause headlines around and bring the nrl into disrepute. What benefit do they bring to the game? Nothing. Their broke, no sponsors, no fans, no coach, cheat the cap, etc.
    Enough is enough. Punt them.

Either go to perth or pull their license.

  4. Another video of Napa and a certain Parra player popped up recently. At this rate Napa won’t even be making his debut with Bulldogs….

  5. Pride of the league winning as usual. I could go on but what’s the point. Won’t be long before the league has a good enough case to force them to relocate.

  6. No thanks, merging with these losers would be like having a bath and someone taking a dump in it. The epitome of polluting the waters.

  7. They the fans, did one good thing in the (Bogan) “SHIRE”, they belted the living crap out of the trouble making moslems a few years ago.🥊😎🥊

  8. I think you’re on shaky ground there Woody, but if that’s the way you think, what about this for the future of the Gummies: who cares where, if anyplace, they are relocated. Saints should take back the The Shire. It’ll be like the Anschluss- the Skull will lead a fleet of 1930s VWs over Captain Cook bridge to reclaim for Saints what’s rightfully (and was previously) theirs.

  9. Dreaming mate, I know what it looks like but WoodChook can’t spell or even know half the vocabulary of Russ Mate. 💪👴👉☁

  10. Saints bombed it when they won 11 in a row mate, the NSWRL did to Saints what they did to Easts in the 1950’s, but on a much more massive scale. The NSWRL took a chunk of the juniors off Easts and gave them to Souffths. But with the Dragons they thought if Saints can win 11 straight then there is enough talent in that district to form another team.

It was no coincidence that Saints 11 premiership run came at the end of 1966 season and Cronulla played the very next season in 1967 but could not win a comp until 50 seasons later in 2016. I suppose if Saints area was left alone then they probably have 25 premierships by now and Souffths would be on about 18

Don’t worry mate I see your point and I’m wishing the NSWRL had left it alone. They interfered in a traditional clubs boundaries and expanded the League at Saints expense who then had to merge with Illawarra to survive. All the idiot NSWRL should have done was expand the game back then in the Central Coast.💪👴👍✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔

  11. I’ve heard a rumor Kane Evans will be on the internet movies tomorrow after Dylan Napa posts a video. Should be interesting to see them clash when Parra take on Canterbury😁

  12. Agree on a no-go for that particular merger. For all their faults Cronulla have avoided the ultimate embarrassment of a merged entity and certainly don’t want to add that chokers tag to their list of crimes. We’ll leave that one to the mob in the ‘gong.
