If Shaun Johnson decides to leave the club next season, the Warriors are reportedly going to chase either Eels stars Mitchell Moses or Corey Norman as a replacement.

The Warriors have prepared themselves to let Johnson go into the open market for 2020 as the club can't see him in their long term plans. This may see the Kiwi Test halfback leave the club next season even though he is under contract.

The Warriors have a plan up their sleeve with Moses or Norman look likely to join the team according to WWOS.

The Eels are prepared to give away either player after a poor 2018 season. Moses is managed by player agent Isaac Moses. Moses also deals the club's head coach Steve Kearney.

The New Zealand Test team is currently in England with Johnson in the team. He is aware of the talk back at home and is weighing up his future.

Johnson is the highest paid player in the history of the Warriors and has been the face of the club to the Kiwi public.

His lack of consistency in big games is a major flaw which has convinced the club to move in another direction for the long term.
