The South Sydney Rabbitohs have been forced to deny that star fullback Greg Inglis is seeking a release from his current deal with the club.

Last month, Inglis entered a mental health rehabilitation facility with reports he was suffering from depression. This was on the back of a season-ending injury Inglis suffered in March after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.

Since new broke of Inglis' mental health issues, the rumour mill has been rife that Inglis was seeking a release to link up with a new club.

Foxsports.com.au is reporting that these rumours are just that and the Rabbitohs have categorically denied Inglis has requested a release from his contract.

The rumours are not new though, with Inglis being linked with a move to Brisbane for the past two years.

Inglis most recently refuted reports that he was looking to cut his stay with the Rabbitohs short in February after yet again being linked with a move to the Broncos.
