The Newcastle Knights have announced the release of Dylan Phythian from the club.

The release comes after Phythian was found to have had a second contravention under the NRL’s Illicit Drugs Policy, which automatically incurs a 12-match suspension.

The Knights released a short statement confirming the release of Phythian, while also offering to support him during this period.

The Newcastle Knights have today announced the release of Dylan Phythian from the Club.

Phythian has had a second contravention under the NRL’s Illicit Drugs Policy, which automatically incurs a 12-match suspension.

After conferring with Dylan, the Club has made the decision to terminate his playing contract. His behaviour is at odds with the culture we are building within the Club.

The Knights will provide him with counselling support during this challenging time.

  1. Not the only one about to go either, watch out for some big news coming out from what’s the matter parramatta regarding someone who’s been caught before!!!!!!!a lot of unrest in that joint & yes they do have a leak!

    • Well, reading between the lines here, I can tell you there are a lot of fans on the Eels forums who won’t be disappointed if this turns out to be true…..

    • Yeah this one you mention apparently happened last week. Do you think if it was true he would of played against the sharks?

    • Rumor has it that Kane Evens is depressed after leaving the potential grand final bound Roosters, perhaps he might of been snorting something other than the snot dribbling down the back of his throat hole whilst crying in reserve grade.

  2. brissydragon, this player on last chance, A sample positive….B sample hasn’t come back yet!
