The Newcastle Knights have confirmed outside back Nathan Ross has extended his contract until season 2020.

Ross, who was already signed until 2018, made his NRL debut in 2015 and has played 38 matches for the Club.

“Nathan has been in great form and has been rewarded with an extension,” CEO Matt Gidley said.

“He has been at the Club for a number of years and has worked really hard; he makes a significant contribution to the team each week.

“Importantly, Nathan engages with our community and members in a meaningful way and we have no doubt that will continue.”

The 28-year-old, who was the Club's leading try scorer in 2017, is extremely proud to extend his tenure at the Knights.

“I am over the moon and this has been something the Club and I have been working towards,” Ross said.

“I love Newcastle… and consider myself a Novocastrian.

“I really believe in the direction the Club is heading… and there is no way I was going to miss out on it.”

A fan favourite at the Knights, Ross said the feeling is mutual.

“I think I love the fans more than they love me,” he said.

“I have shared my journey with the fans the whole way through and to be able to progress with them is something special.”
