Roosters star Latrell Mitchell has hinted at becoming a "one-club player" with Sydney, following reports that the centre is set to receive an $11 million/10-year contract from Canterbury.

Mitchell told The Courier-Mail he has the Roosters to thank for his stellar career to-date, whilst also admitting he wasn't overly concerned with the potential to be cut from the Blues Origin II side.

“He’s a one-club player and a legend,” Mitchell said of Roosters great Anthony Minichiello.

“I’d like to do the same thing.

“I love the club. I love being here and they’ve treated me really well.

“The eastern suburbs is my home. I’ve bought a beautiful house. I got my family to move here and look after me.

“If there are offers we’ll talk but that’s my manager’s job, not mine right now.”

Mitchell and his father Matt have previously commended Sydney coach Trent Robinson and club powerbroker Nick Politis in their influence on Mitchell's tender career.

Mitchell further added that he has been surrounded by role models and senior figures since joining the club.

“Aubo (Mitch Aubusson) has been a big help to me,” Mitchell said.

“We’ve had a few breakfasts together just to chat. It keeps me sane with all the other stuff going on. He’s been a great mentor.

“Coops (Cooper Cronk) came in last year and he’s the same.

“All the older players … Jared (Waerea-Hargreaves), Friendy (Jake Friend) and Boydo (Boyd Cordner) have been there, done that.

“It’s awesome to have those leaders and their support.

“They’re the people you want to play alongside every week. They go by action, not words.

“I love having them on my side.”

The Roosters won't be able to match the Bulldogs' stunning offer for Mitchell - with the 22-year-old claiming both he and manager Wayde Rushton are yet to receive any offer from the club.

Mitchell is contracted with the Roosters until 2020, but can field offers as of November.

“I haven’t heard anything about it,” he said. “I have a manager and we’ve both heard nothing.

“I haven’t even thought about going anywhere.

“All I have to do is play footy and that’s what I’m focused on,” he added “Come November, we’ll worry about it then. It comes down to me just playing good footy.

“They’ve been a few things in the media but my job is to focus on the Roosters and enjoy football. Nothing else.”

The ongoing interest and speculation over Mitchell's future has simultaneously mirrored his on-field form, with the centre now out-of-favour with the NSW Blues heading into Origin II.

Mitchell's omission from the Blues' clash against the Maroons in Perth on Sunday was made by the NSW camp following a poor outing in the series opener, but he hasn't become too concerned with the decision.

“I have my little one’s birthday party,” he says. “I’m turning my phone off for the weekend and chilling with my family and my baby.”

Not to mention the hiding Teo equally handed to Sulky Bill Williams.
    Both never returned after that.
