Michael Jennings is believed to be in talks with the Eels for a contract extension.

Jennings told foxsports.com.au in February of his intentions to stay at Bankwest stadium after a poor 2018 season.

"Do I just want to run off after a bad year?" he exclaimed.

"I had unfinished business here. I'm confident in my ability, I can back my ability".

The veteran has six tries this year from his nine games with the Eels as they currently hold a coveted position amongst the finals after last year's nightmare.

The former Kangaroos and NSW star is poised to sign on for another year, going into his 14th season in the league and fifth with the Parramatta Eels.

The Eels have been determined in locking in players for their future and re-building process with Jennings a large part to play in guiding some of the younger players forward through his ability and leadership.

Parramatta was also hoping to make a play for Brisbane forward Matt Lodge, although he looks set to ink a new deal with the Broncos in the coming days.

  1. Would’ve been nice if Penrith could sign Jennings And Peachey since we are abit shallow on centers and because it would’ve been nice to see Jennings finish his career where it all began.
