Fox League host and former Origin great Matty Johns has unveiled his all-time Queensland team ahead of Wednesday night's decider.

He revealed his team on the Matty Johns Podcast, naming Johnathan Thurston at the halfback over fellow legend Alfie Langer.

“When you have look at this spine and the way it coexists, I’ve gone with Thrston because of his relationships with other people in the spine over a period of time.

“You have to have him in there. How would you use Alf? Maybe you bring him on 10 minutes into the second half and let him run riot.”

Johns named Arthur Beetson as his skipper, with other prominent Maroons such as Billy Slater, Greg Inglis Mal Meninga, Darren Lockyer, Johnathan Thurston and Cameron Smith featuring.

Johns' side has no currently players.

  1. Reddy & Beetson both played once for Qld. Miles in the second row is a joke, Lindner was outstanding in origin. Johns should stick to picking NSW teams as he has NFI.

  2. Hahahaha yeah Lockyer over Wally at 5/8 – you idiot. And guru is 100% right, gene miles wasn’t anywhere near as good as bobby lindner. Get rid of langer and put in Cronk. Hodges over Renouf? That’s like saying the donkey in the paddock is better than Winx. Webcke over petro any day of the week. I think Matty May have been on the cans with little brother when he came up with that team.
