Manly have signed young Penrith backrower Corey Waddell on a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old was a member of the NSW Cup team that won the 2017 Intrust Super Premiership and State Championship crowns.

In a post on Instagram, Waddell said he is looking forward to starting a new journey at the Sea Eagles, after being part of the Panthers system for a number of years.

“Really excited to start my new journey at Manly Sea Eagles for the next 2 years! And I’m looking forward to the new opportunity," Waddell posted.

“After being born and bred in Penrith and making mates for life at the club there’s no doubt I’ll miss it! Bring on 2019.”
