Tristan Sailor, the son of Broncos legend Wendell, is firming to make his NRL debut for the St George Illawarra Dragons, according to a report by The Daily Telegraph.

Playing at fullback or on the wing, Sailor has put in strong performances for the club's junior representative team over the last couple of years and is due for his promotion.

Sailor has warmed up as the Dragons' 18th man over the last two rounds but if finally set to get his opportunity in Saturday's clash against the Roosters with several of his teammates in doubt due to concussion.

Ben Hunt, Tyson Frizell and Patrick Kaufusi are all in doubt to take on the reigning premiers, with Sailor expected to come into the side should any of the trio pull out.

Hunt is understood to be the most unlikely of the three.

The Dragons meet the Roosters on Saturday at 7.35pm at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

  1. Reckon this kid might be the long term solution at fullback. Classy.
Weird though how the dragons have gone so cold on Field all of a sudden. A bit hard to understand whats going through their heads. Was only 5 minutes ago they were saying he was ‘special’.

  2. Poor kid getting thrown to the wolves. Rubbish coach, rubbish team atm and playing the chooks. Saints can start 20 mins b4 them and will still cop a touch up. Wonder where super dud will play him and for how long?? Can this nightmare of a season hurry up please. Chooks by 40
