Knights coach Nathan Brown has been spotted in deep discussion with Andrew and David Fifita at a cafe in Newcastle.

But before you get your hopes up Knights fans, it seems that Andrew was simply there in support of his brother David as he looks to reignite his NRL career.

David Fifita was released by the Cronulla Sharks earlier this year to take up a deal with Super League side Wakefield after failing to crack the first-grade side. The Sharks would go on to win the premiership with a star-studded forward lineup so by no means was that a sign of his inability to play.

During his time at Wakefield, Fifita was an instant fan favourite due to his strong ball carries and physical presence.

Fifita had indicated he intended to stay in the Super League, and preferably with Wakefield, after the conclusion of the season.

The Knights are looking to add more experience to their young squad, already signing former Manly utility Jamie Buhrer and Cowboys premiership winner Rory Kostjasyn.
