Penrith Panthers forward Viliame Kikau has been suspended for two matches after being found guilty of a grade one shoulder charge.

Kikau had entered a plea of not guilty in regards to the charge and had hoped to have it overturned at the NRL Judiciary hearing on Tuesday night.

Instead, Kikau was found guilty by the panel and now faces two matches on the sidelines in what most experts and fans have called a baffling decision.

The 24-year-old Fijian will now miss Sunday's match against Canberra and next Saturday's clash with the Bulldogs.

  1. Confirms the influence the roosters have over the NRL.
A week after Keary returns you are now not allowed to tackle the player passing the ball even if its obviously unavoidable.
Well done roosters in their quest to manufacture another premiership.

  2. Hargreaves is now also permitted to lead with his head in tackles.
Breaking a player’s jaw or worse with a head first blow will do much for kids to play rugby league.
Wake up NRL and take control of the NRL or continue to lose support to AFL.

  3. Cmon Woody, might as well have had Nick Politis write the article. Gould and Fittler are both in Nicks pocket, their roosters bias is so obvious that Stevie Wonder could see it

  4. You keep pushing the myth Edwoodwoodwood1.
Poaching up and coming juniors from other clubs and signing them up in under 20’s isn’t in house development.
    They are already showing potential.
The roosters dont have juniors therefore no ground based junior development.
    Give up you fool.

  5. All those name you mention in your last post.
Please tell me which rooster junior clubs they played for growing up.
Then I will tell you which ones they actually did before they were poached.

  6. Edwoodwoodwood1 you are still not answering the question.
How many in the post you mention are rooster juniors?
    Allow me. NONE.
Your comment regarding 15-17 y olds coming to the roosters are poached as high potential players. POACHED.
Your sad comments about Souths juniors not being any good confirms your complete stupidity.
Take a look how many souths juniors have partaked in the NRL just in the last 10 years.
You have massive denial and inferiority issues.

  7. Edwoodwoodwood1 I might also remind you that a big reason the 4 rooster junior teams were kicked out of the souths juniors comp is that after constant warnings of rooster scouts approaching souths juniors at games they were shown the door for not respecting that.
    Only have themselves to blame.

  8. Edwoodwoodwood1 for someone who enjoys researching facts, take a look at how many souths juniors have played nrl just in the past 10 years.
Make sure you have a few bagels to chew on because will take some time.

  9. Frank you are just repeating the same argument as you did as Edwoodwoodwood1.
Go back to my reply for both and there is your answer.
Stop being an ignoramus and stick to facts.

  10. FrankHarry, you can always present things to suit your argument but that fact is Souths have achieved 21 premierships and currently boast 30,000 members.
    Doing something right.
For all the accolades and achievements you put forth regarding your roosters, why is it this club struggles to attract fans and in particular memberships which has them sitting around 3rd last for all NRL clubs?
We all know the answer, you don’t need to choke over your bagels thinking of one.

  11. Laughing reading all those rooster juniors from the dark ages when roosters actually had juniors.
They no longer have and the only junior left from their juniors which no longer exist is Radley.
Let’s face it, have to be relocated and start fresh.
Will never get to the level of souths dominance in the eastern suburbs of Sydney

  12. TwentyOne, im pretty sure that Angus Crichton is a roosters jr as well. If i may enter this debate on jr’s, whilst i undertsand how great it is to have them stay at their jr club, at the end of the day it is a competitive sport. Some jr’s have to leave to to try and have a real shot at first grade. It’s not like the roosters are hypnotizing them to join their club. Obviously offers from rival clubs may well be very tempting, but if the jr’s clubs really wanted to keep them, they would. By the way, i’m pretty sure that the nrl gave souths a chunk of the roosters jr’s territory in the 70’s, so that obviously makes the talent pool the roosters have smaller.

I don’t want to get into the relocation debate though – it is just sad seeing fans lose their club i.e like how the nrl booted you guys out several years ago. The rivalry between the roosters and the rabbidohs is still the strongest rivalry in the nrl, and for everyones sake, needs to continue.
