Canberra have released a statement on their website after news broke on Wednesday morning surrounding an incident involving fullback Jack Wighton.

Wighton faced the ACT Magistrates Court following an incident in February, and will plead not guilty to all nine charges.

The Raiders released the following statement on raiders.com.au.

"Canberra Raiders player Jack Wighton will face ACT Magistrates Court again in July, after pleading Not Guilty today to charges laid against him following an incident in Canberra in February.

The Club will allow Wighton to continue to train and play with the club during this period. As the matter is before the court the Raiders will not be making any further comment on the issue.

The Raiders continue to work with the NRL Integrity unit and have informed them of the latest developments."
