Queensland halfback Ben Hunt is in doubt for Wednesday's State of Origin opener, and will need to pass a fitness test at training on Tuesday to get the all clear from the doctors.
The disappointing injury news comes less than 24 hours after veteran fullback Billy Slater was ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Hunt picked up a bad cork during the Dragons' loss to Penrith on May 26th, and has been struggling with the injury since then.
The news was first reported by Tony Adams on Tuesday morning, before NRL.com journalist Katie Brown confirmed the information minutes later.
