Brisbane has confirmed hooker James Segeyaro has been handed a one-match suspension for drink driving, with the 28-year-old also agreeing to complete a traffic offender program and 40 hours of community service.

Segeyaro recorded a breath test reading of 0.027 on Monday, but was issued with a notice to appear for driving under the influence of alcohol because he is on a Provisional Licence, that requires a zero reading.

The Broncos confirmed the punishments on Thursday, and said the NRL Integrity Unit ticked off on their decision.
