Matt Lodge is a chance to play against the Melbourne Storm at Suncorp Stadium this Friday night after scans revealed he has suffered no broken ribs.

Lodge went for scans yesterday and they have confirmed he did not fracture any ribs, suffering only a rub cartilage injury.

“It is a cartilage injury, so he has damaged the cartilage where the ribs join,” said Broncos’ High Performance Manager Jeremy Hickmans on the club website.

“He will not be able to train much this week, so we will manage him through some sessions and just see how it goes.

“If he can handle the discomfort, he is a good chance of playing against the Storm.”

The Broncos will name their Round 7 side this afternoon.

    • I’m not a fan of them picking him up (especially after seeing the video) – but putting that aside, if we’re giving him a second chance, the answer to “when” he gets sacked is precisely “when” he does something wrong and not before.

  1. U’S blokes need the get over it. We wouldn’t have a game if it come down to how each player’s acts. Some of the legends in the game like Andrew johns who was taking ecstasy during football matches even origin and and harass young girls at airport, what about Russell Packer he kicked some blokes heading in, in a pub fight. He’s still playing ever week, and the nerve of the Tigers crowd booed Lodge and they got their own f****** mass murderer . Come people move on there only footballers . Rock stars take ever drug under the sun and trash places act a fool and U’S people still let your kids go see them so it’s time to get over it.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

    • geez you like to jump to conclusions don’t ya! mass murder lmao.. there is a difference between people taking drugs and people beating women and/or strangers.

      • Bud the bloke Packer beat up was in intensive care 4 weeks swelling on the brain And on your taken drugs , playing a professional sport your kidding yourself mate that’s abit 80’s .
