Sivo might think otherwise (about Dessie being coach of the year) given Manly have handed him top try scorer for the season.
Well done to Sivo, and the boys tonight.
But seriously, I still don’t get how Des has been a front runner to date anyway. If Manly go deep into the finals, which I think is very unlikely, then fair enough, but otherwise, no.
Manly, and Parra for that matter, seriously underperformed last year based on the squads they had, and are back to a fair, maybe slightly above fair, performance based on virtually the same squads this year. I don’t think either coach should be in contention for coach of the year yet, but for those that do, and bottom line, surely BA is ahead.
Ricky is the coach of the year
How the hell did that grub Taupau not get sent off for that intentional swinging arm to the head of Stone.
That should be the end of the grubs season.
Well done Parra for a well earned 5th spot.
Not a fan of him but agree with ManWar Ricky is miles ahead for coach of the year .
I agree with ManWart as well, tapow played the ball too quickly and deserved that penalty, Egley is the future at mwse.
Thank Goodness for the Panthers hey Eels..
A former Panther as coach & a team chocker block full of former Panthers. What team would they have without Penrith?
If RCG goes there next year, it even more reinforces the statement.
More or less the same team? A few changes there in the forwards . Such as getting Paulo back. Added a young NZ 5/8th , 2 good wingers from elsewhere & another centre later in the season. So quite a different team really.
“Thank Goodness for the Panthers hey Eels..” Yes, and thank you.
If the Panthers wouldn’t mind going to Fiji and picking up another 20 year to play in the lower grades for 4 years for us to sign on min. wage that turns into the top scorer in FG, well I think we should chip in, pay your flights or something at least.
As for Blake, I live in Perth so I can help you source a 17/18 year old from here that you can develop, turn into a top FG player, lock into a big money long term contract and pass to us, whilst you continue to chip in with the salary.
“Thank Goodness for the Panthers hey Eels..” Yep, and how much are you willing to chip in re RCG?
Eels did play good. But that won’t be enough to beat the top sides in the finals.
They fade in and out of matches to much, I still think there defence at times still doesn’t look great. They need to be a lot better next week.
In saying that BA has done a great Job with this team.
Hi Frank hows things going princess ? Didn’t see you there was too busy watching the replay of thursdays nights win
Eels will be knocked out 1st week same as manly
