Ex-NRL players light up Super League Dream Team as Bears signing makes cut

Several familiar NRL names have earned elite honours in the Northern Hemisphere.

Plenty of ex-NRL talent have featured in the 2026 Super League Dream Team, while an incoming Perth Bears signing has also made the English competition's Team of the Year.

The 13-man lineup represents the best players across the Super League regular season, ahead of a massive top-six showdown during the play-offs.

Former Newcastle fullback Lachlan Miller was awarded in the fullback position, while Maika Sivo, Brodie Croft, and Joe Ofahengaue round out the former NRL talent on display in the British competition.

Sivo finished the regular season with 29 tries for the Rhinos, marking him as the top try scorer in the competition in his first full year at the club.

Meanwhile, teammate Croft finished just behind him with an incredible 28 tries.

Incoming Perth Bears second rower James McDonnell also made an appearance in this year's Dream Team.

McDonnell will make the switch to the NRL in 2027, in two months, when he undergoes a rigorous preseason on Australia's West Coast.

The Leeds Rhinos are the best-represented Super League side for the year, marking six players in the 13-man lineup.

The club finished second in the regular season and is touted for a big play-off series as they look for their first title since 2017.

Brother of Cronulla Sharks forward Braden Uele made the side, with Caleb Hamlen-Uele named at prop after a quality season at Wakefield.

Reigning Man of Steel (MVP) Jake Connor has retained his place from last year as Dream Team scrum-half as he continues to show dominant form for the Rhinos.

Connor collected the top point-scorer accolade for 2026, with 282 points during his campaign.

The Super League opted for a new voting format for this year's team, with the Man of Steel panel, selected media, and fans getting a chance to have their say.

The Man of Steel voting panel took up 50% of the voting decision, while journalists contributed 30%, with fans finishing with the remaining 20%.
