Sharks prop Matt Prior has been charged with a grade one shoulder charge by the match review committee.

The charge stemmed from a hit on Dragon Joel Thompson in the 20th minute of the match last Friday night.

Should Prior take the early guilty plea he would accrue 150 points and miss one match, while were he to challenge the charge at a judiciary hearing and fail he would miss two matches.

The Sharks have until midday on Monday to make a decision whether to challenge or accept the penalty.
