Warriors forward Isaiah Papali'i is expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks after injuring his knee in the Round 2 match against Gold Coast at Mount Smart Stadium.

Papali'i lasted just seven minutes in the match before he was assisted from the field.

The club has since confirmed that Papali'i has suffered a medial ligament strain to his right knee.

The injury will rule him out of action for four to six weeks.

Head coach Stephen Kearney will name his Round 3 team to take on the Canberra Raiders later today.
