The NRL clash between the New Zealand Warriors and Canterbury Bulldogs this afternoon will observe a minute's silence before the game, following the tragic incidents in Christchurch on Friday.
NRL CEO Todd Greenberg announced the decision on Twitter, with Friday's night's Roosters-Rabbitohs clash also having a minute's silence prior to kickoff.
Horrified & saddened of the events in Christchurch today. All of our thoughts & prayers are with the victims & their families. @NRL & our Clubs will observe a minutes silence prior to kickoff as a mark of respect at tonightโs game in Sydney & tomorrow night in NZ
