Wests Tigers have released a statement surrounding utility Michael Chee Kam.

During the week, Chee Kam faced local court and pleaded guilty to a charge of common assault, with the Tigers standing him down for Saturday's clash with the Titans.

On Wednesday, April 24, Chee Kam appeared in Waverley Local Court and pled guilty to the charge of common assault.

Due to this, Michael will be stood down for Wests Tigers’ Round 7 game against the Gold Coast Titans.

Wests Tigers is working closely with the NRL Integrity Unit and will not make any further comment on the matter until the process is finalised next week.
