The NRL match review committee has handed down their results for round 21.

Brisbane forward Josh McGuire has been suspended for one game due to a grade-one charge on Bulldogs lock Adam Elliott during their side’s clash.

Warriors forwards Bunty Afoa and Sam Lisone are each facing suspensions for incidents in the club’s win over the Dragons.

Afoa will front the judiciary on Tuesday night to challenge a potential one-match ban for dangerous contact to Dragons forward Leeson Ah Mau

Lisone has accepted a two-match suspension after being handed the same charge for striking Dragons second-rower Tariq Sims.

Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves will receive a fine of $1350 for his incident with Cowboys veteran Kane Linnett, and Wests Tigers forward Sauaso Sue has avoided suspension for a dangerous charge on Knights fullback Kalyn Ponga

  1. What about Sam “protected” Burgess?
Late hit, shoulder charge, on a play maker???

    Unbelievable the NRL.

  2. Protected . He has spent 4 weeks on the sideline for soft petty bs that others get away with week in week out . Out of that game it proved to me yet again how protected the Storm are . How Kaufusi isn’t spending a few weeks on the sidelines is BS .

      • Yeah painted on . Sam runs at Josh Morris lifts his elbow for impact as most forwards do . Morris falls to the ground in unbearable pain bahaha . Soft as and Sam gets 2 weeks . Tackles Sezer in the exact same tackle that smashed Farah . No swinging arm and hits chest high as Sezer slides . Sam gets another 2 weeks . None were like Kaufusi that hit cheek / jaw concussing the player as he did . Yup painted on champ

        • There was no need to lift his elbow that high on Morris. you can brace for impact but you can’t lift the elbow like he did. I don’t agree that “most” forwards have the elbow at head/neck height of the defender at impact. Big Nelson from the Storm is a shocker for it.

The Seizer one was unlucky I agree, fair point. Sam plays it hard no doubt but he sails close to the wind all the time and he has form with the judiciary as a result.
