The Sydney Roosters will be without Michael Gordon for potentially the rest of the season with scans revealing the fullback will require an extensive rehab program.
Gordon was injured in the final ten minutes of the Roosters match against rivals South Sydney.
The Roosters have released an update on Gordon following scans and the club has confirmed that he is expected to be sidelined for eight weeks with a pectoral muscle injury.
If injury had been to pectoral tendon/required surgery, usually minimum 12 week recovery (often 4-6 months/season over)

Gordon has been in outstanding form for the Bondi club and losing him will be a major blow to their Top 4 chances.
The recovery timeline outlined by the club means Gordon could still feature for the Roosters in the finals series.
The Roosters have the bye this week, with their next match against the Newcastle Knights in Round 20 at Allianz Stadium.
