Rival clubs can save their breath in asking for Roosters enforcer Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, according to coach Trent Robinson.

The back-to-back premiership coach says Waerea-Hargreaves will see out the final year of his deal at Easts, with the 30-year-old an important part of their make-up.

“Definitely (he’s staying). Jared isn’t going anywhere,” Robinson told Channel 9 on Tuesday.

“I know there’s been talk, I would want Jared as well (if I was a rival club).

“But he’s a Rooster and he will be staying here.”

Waerea-Hargreaves impressed during the Roosters' grand final win on Sunday, and was in-line for the Clive Churchill Medal before a royal mix-up in the seconds before the award was presented.

The forward played 20 games for the Tricolours in 2019.

  1. Like I said a few days ago. Nobody wants to go to the Penrith Poachers after showing the door to a heap of high class quality players mid contract.

The dump of a club even sacks coaches that guide the team to a finals birth like they did with Andy Griffith

Like Souths they have realized that their juniors are duds and now Penr in th Piachers are trying to buy Roosters developed hero JWH. 🤣😂🤣

  2. JWH didn’t want to face Sam Burgess in the semi after what he witnessed in R25 so the MRC took care of that for him and 2 others in Cordner and Tetevano who should have been suspended for the semi.
As a result of that sham the chairman of the MRC was booted not long after.
Apparantly there is a text message from Buettner that was his nail in the coffin.
The handling of the GF is testimony there was always going to be a way to secure a rooster win.
JWH is just a puppet gru.b who has nothing on an even playing field.
Grows another leg when Sam Burgess isn’t around to mince him.
