George Burgess looks set to move to the Super League at season's end, with Wigan set to offer the forward a mega three-year deal, according to the Brisbane Times.

The prop is currently on the sidelines until the end of the home-and-away season, after an eye-gouge on Wests Tigers hooker Robbie Farah saw him handed a nine-match suspension.

The Rabbitohs have made it clear they won't have room in their cap to sign Burgess, and it looks as though there's not much interest from other NRL clubs, following his lengthy ban.

Wigan has reportedly offered Burgess a longer, more lucrative deal than he would receive from any rival NRL club, with the 27-year-old set to accept the offer and head back home to England.

Burgess joined the Rabbitohs in 2012, and has played 148 games for the Bunnies, including one premiership.

  1. Frank, the roosters have protected species Hargreaves.
Regarding Bennett, it was Gould who pushed for the Titans to sign Brennan so he could sway Bennett towards the Panthers which he knocked back for the Rabbitohs.
You need to keep up with the facts.
When you refer to Bennett over the hill, take a look at the ladder not to mention the coaching lesson and hiding he gave Robinson in round 1.
    Move on chump.

  2. My god there are some f.ck wits on this site, mainly the one above my post,

So Crowe gave Bindi a watch, Crowe and Bindi’s mother Terri have been friends forever and it was a good respectful gift at the right time, get off your high horse Ed, your the one who is embarrasing yourself, and when it comes to Bennett, he was never on Souths radar, Souths wanted Seibolb to be their long term coach, but when he wanted out Souths had no option but to go with Bennett, and how has that worked out? We dodged a bullet with Seibold, thats for sure.

  3. My suggestion ZT is that you limit each ISP address to 1 profile name.
When you have 1 person with several profiles in Edwoodwood1, FrankSpencer, HarryButler etc, it dilutes the quality of feedback when you have the same opinion given 3-4 times under each of the aliases.
