AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND - AUGUST 27: Brothers Tom and Jake Trbojevic of the Sea Eagles celebrate after winning the round 25 NRL match between the New Zealand Warriors and the Manly Sea Eagles at Mt Smart Stadium on August 27, 2017 in Auckland, New Zealand. (Photo by Anthony Au-Yeung/Getty Images)

Jake and Tom Trbojevic's manager Paul Sutton has declared he is "unaware" of Canterbury's alleged big-money offer, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

Fox Sports reported that the Bulldogs made a $10 million package bid for the brothers,  $1.4m for Tom and $1.1m for Jake over four years – as well as a $4 milliion contract for rising Bronco David Fifita

Sutton revealed that brothers were yet to receive a new deal from Manly, despite being free to sign elsewhere from November 1.

The duo have repeatedly professed their love for Manly and coach Des Hasler but have also said they would consider signing big deals elsewhere.

Canterbury boss Andrew Hill told The Sydney Morning Herald: "There seems to be endless speculation about who we are in the market for, and we won't add to the running commentary.

"We're the same as every other club and will monitor player availability at the appropriate time.''

Daly Cherry-Evans said of the brothers: "They've become such a big part of the club, not just on a football level but at a club level because of how likeable they are.

"It would be a monumental loss if we let Tom and Jake go.

"To hear that [Canterbury news], I would never begrudge them doing what's best for them, but I really, really hope it's Manly who keep them.''

  1. Of coarse his manager is unaware of it. He will be aware of it on November 1, otherwise the Dogs will get penalised with a whopper fine.

  2. And this is a glaring problem with the system.
Even if true and hasn’t heard from dogs, they can publicly put out their offer for all to know.
Not that in this case it matters as they aren’t signing FB the trobovics either way

  3. Just on last night’s game, how the hell is DCE the Australian halfback.
    Terrible kicking game.
    Ordinary passing game.
    Zero running game.
    Poor defensive game.

Seriously he could have walked off the field last night and I doubt anyone would have noticed.
If Mal wasn’t the coach I highly doubt he would be in the squad.

  4. Hey, I’ve got some good news for you kev. Cordner is considering giving up the captain’s role to concentrate on his game.

I, alongside yourself, and all other footy fans, would warmly welcome the news of DCE given the opportunity to proudly lead our national team.

“Hey, I’ve got some good news for you kev. Cordner is considering giving up the captain’s role to concentrate on his game.”

Is this another attempt by the cap sombreros to lure Murray there?
Devito could offer him his own greek island and still wouldn’t be enough.
Regarding Cordner, my opinion is that they want a leader who can string more than 3 words together.

  6. Spot on Kev.
Did Munster or D.C.E. Even get one short kick right?
The S.O.O. Losing pair , didn’t look so great in that game. They played more poorly than I thought they could play .

  7. Hey Kev and EOD. Did either of you notice the performance of the other team’s halfback? If you did, then that should answer all of your questions. Lol.

  8. Bad performance by the halves last night. I would’ve put in Moses and Keary in as the halves if I was the coach. Moses and Keary both have good running game, passing game and kicking game. To bad Keary was injured because these two would be a very good combo for the Kangaroo’s side.

  9. Maybe ManWar..
Still, Australia had a lot of opportunities to score. Yet D.C.E. & Munster seemed to be just running across the field all the time & not setting up anything much?
I thought they were way better players than they showed in that game. It was pretty disappointing.

  10. Halves done what they had to in a game that was always comfortable.
Dce and Munster are clearly the best halves to be leading aus. Keary is clear next back up when fit.
    Then Milford/ash Taylor/ Lachlan Lewis/like brooks/ John Sutton/ fluffy Lyons
    Then after that Moses

  11. I don’t believe that Luke Brooks, Ash Taylor, Milford are in front of Moses. I would put David Fifita halfback before putting any of the options that you’ve said. And to top it all Moses got Dally M halfback of the year(Award for the best Halfback). All these players that you’ve said have had average seasons and the teams that they have been in barely or didn’t even make top eight. Milford, for example, led a team into finals that lost 58-0 and you think he’s worthy of a kangaroo’s jersey. Also, he had the highest try assists and kick meters as well this year.

  12. Whether you believe Cleary should be NSW halfback or not?
It’s hard to believe that you’d have a retired Sutton or Ash Taylor in from of him or Moses there bob? As the Australian halfback.

  13. Turbo is not worth close to 1 mill, too many errors and too much down time due to injuries.
i would offer him 8 and 9 for Jurbo. anything else is overs but old mu.mbles D.es will take the easy road and back end everything AGAIN !

  14. Cleary is totally useless and is another product like Murray over hyped up by the media. Both players are highly overrated in the Jack Bird category.

The overly priced Poached Parra halfback has a better chance of representing NSW than Cleary. Clearly Cleary is a top shelf dud.

  15. ……claptrap twaddle you have been writing on this site he probably needs to ‘p’ all over you. Eastofdivide is full of baloney.

  16. Eastofdivide you still have not posted the link to prove your dribble is fact, about the Roosters paying for Cronks wife coarse fees? I know why you have not posted that link, its because there is no link to your lies.

You might have to sign in on your other login Twentyone to explain.

  17. Sure thing. Try to cover up for being a moron , by saying you’re making constant mistakes on purpose?
    It’s not working!

  18. EastOfDivide what are you on? Still speaking crapp. May have to rename you Andy CrappOfDivide. How about the link to your source of imformation. You have had ample time to post the link. Whats the matter, unable to locate it?

Just refrain from quoting your fictional novels of propaganda in future please and by all means, stick to the story.

I feel the Turbo brothers want to stay at Manly, perhaps a 1.4m dollar massive offer will persuade them to move.

What are your thoughts Andy Crapp? Do you believe the Roosters will pay the university fees of their future children in 20yrs time if they both agree to sign for the Chooks? Indeed Canterbury may offer to house the brothers and all their relatives in quality nursing homes in 2085 if they sign on the dotted line.

    Awake from your fantasy Eastofdivide.

  19. Munster and DCE are the best halves options for Australia, DCE hasn’t looked that good this post season. Looks real lethargic. But his origin series this year was decent considering he played with a shoddy ankle, and imo deserved to win halfback of the year but Moses is the only one who gets Dally M points in Parra. Moses is not good enough for rep stage, he still is growing and seems to fade out in big pressure games. Kinda was a flat track bully this year, pretty much just like Parra this whole year. Only player I’d wanna give a chance in the halves is Keary, really want to see what he can dish up and if he stays fit will be really interesting to see him and Cleary pair up next year in origin.
