Penrith's Reagan Campbell-Gillard faces a clouded future, with the Parramatta Eels showing interest in him, according to NRL.com.

It is believed that the prop has not asked for a release from the final five years of his deal, but the Eels and Panthers are discussing the potential of one.

His deal is worth over $4 million for the next five years, which is a big chunk of salary for a player currently used off the bench.

Campbell-Gillard has struggled to regain his best form after breaking his jaw against the Roosters halfway through last season, spending time in the Canterbury Cup throughout parts of 2019.

Penrith would reportedly be happy to pay for a portion of his salary elsewhere, but he has not yet been given permission to speak to rival clubs.

The Eels are currently in negotiations with Storm forward Christian Welch in a bid to boost their front-row stocks.

  1. If RCG & Welch are the only 2 signings we get for 2020 im happy. I believe our outside backs are stacked & our Spine will get better the more they play. Still think we need a good second rower to replace Ma’u unless Brown is going into second row.

  2. I’ve literally said RCG should leave the Panthers for ages since he got moved to the bench and just started saying he should go to the Eels. RCG Paulo and Brown will be really good in the middle of the park. They should get some really good metres and lay a good platform for Mahoney, Moses and Brown to work off. Lane and Niukore look like they could do with some more competition in the second row but the backs look good. Possibly make a late go at Alex Glenn

The average age of the Eels squad is 25.5
The average age of the Wabbits squad is 24.5.
Not a lot of difference you tool!
I for one think the signing of RCG and Welch are great for the club.
We have one of the best backlines in the game and a young spine that are starting to hit their straps. A couple of good forwards and we become a top 4 team.
