The North Queensland Cowboys are looking to acquire Broncos halfback halfback Sean O’Sullivan, reports nine.com.au.

The 20-year old lost his starting spot to rookie Tom Dearden and as such, wants a release from Brisbane.

O'Sullivan could fit the bill for Paul Green's team, who have been searching for a No. 6 since Johnathan Thurston retired.

Jake Clifford struggled in the role earlier in the season, forcing prop John Asiata into becoming a makeshift five-eighth.

  1. All I can say if Nick Politis let him walk, then he mustn’t be much chop. 🚶‍♀️. . . . 👎🐔🖐🏻

  2. Do you think it’s possible that the Roosters let Sean O’Sullivan go in an act of goodwill WoodChook? He was facing the prospect of being behind Cronk and Keary for another 2 seasons (We now know that this is Cronk’s last season). You can’t always assume that a player is no good just because his club releases him, after all the Salary Cap has a lot to do with player signings & retentions, and even you would admit how complex the Roosters Salary Cap is, not to mention the brown paper bags!

  3. The last story about the Beisbane halves said O’Sullivan was playing very well for the feeder club to Brisbane.
His father was also given a job at Brisbane, which is one of the reasons he wanted to go to Brisbane.
Remember, Brisbane also has 600 young players on scholarships , besides their feeder clubs. So they can chop & change who they’d like to bring through into first grade all they’d like,
The Nuggets would probably like him back now for next season, but too late. Can’t see Lamb getting the first grade job & not sure theyll give it to young Lam either.

  4. Budgiesmugler the Roosters signed Crnk for two years with the 90% knowledge that thats all they would get out of him, if 0’Sullivan was good enough he would of stayed for 1 more season knowing that Vronk would tutor him and then the position was his. But he walked and Politis was happy to let him go.😎

  5. ChocolateSoldierOfDivide, His father is a scout for NZ arriors and has been for a while, He wasn’t allowed to have a job in Aussie land, we dont want his son back othereise the Roosters wouldnt go after young Walker CLOWN🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

  6. The story still said he was playing well for the feeder club. So you still don’t know what your talking about .Everyone is saying Keary will be halfback at your Transit Lounge Chickens next year. Mitchell wants to play 5/8th.
Walker can’t play first grade for 2 years.
Plus your Transit lounge club is still seeking another halfback?
When they have young Lam, who looks a good player.
So they don’t give a crap about Lam!
Then don’t give a crap about Keary perhaps in 2 years, if Walker is there & in first grade?
Plus who’d want to be another fill in half for 2 years?
However, if Keary is there in 2 years & Walker’s there to go to half, Keary to 5/8th? What happens to Mitchell, if he plays 5/8th & does well in the position? He won’t want to go to centre!!!
    Oh what. Tangled Web!
Next in line, Coming through the transit lounge.
Looks like the Only Clowns are your French Team. 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷

  7. I guess this stuff happens when you continually overspend the cap & try to buy every good player coming through.
Eventually the Transit Chickens are going to trip themselves up.
We’ll all be laughing out loud , if Mitchell plays 5/8 th well.
Then the French Hens want him not to play 5:8th any more!! He’ll want to leave!
If he wants to be 5/8th & they don’t let him? He’ll also want to leave!
    Ha, Ha, Ha! 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷😂
