The Canberra Raiders have won their first match of 2018 but it has come at a heavy cost with Sam Williams suffering a knee injury and a number of other players still to be assessed.

Williams was forced from the field late in the game after taking a hit to his knee.

Scans have revealed medial ligament injury which will see him miss 4-6 weeks of football.

The Raiders also had four players leave the during the game for head injury assessments.

Luke Bateman, Ata Hingano, Michael Oldfield and Aidan Sezer will undergo assessments this week but are expected to be available for round six.

  1. 4 players confused damn.. how good was sticky last night jumping for joy what a legend. Also how bad were the dogs there only good player is foran they will challenge parra fpr the spoon though after last night i think they have the wood over them 😉

    • I just heard that we are doing a swap with Parra for Corey Norman. Now I don’t know who we are swapping with but if I was to take a guess it’s Austin.

  2. Canberra should start to prepare for life after Jack Wighton.
He goes to court soon on a list of charges. Including several assault charges. If found guilty & the footage doesn’t look good, could be facing prison time.
