Rabbitohs take early pleas for charges

Rabbitohs players George Burgess, Hymel Hunt and Braidon Burns have all taken the early guilty plea for each charge arising from Saturday’s game against the Newcastle Knights.

George Burgess was charged with a grade two striking charge and will miss two matches.

Hymel Hunt was charged with a grade two reckless high tackle charge and will miss four matches.

Braidon Burns was charged with a grade one shoulder charge and will miss one match.

  1. We’re pretty thin on the back line as it is & with Thomas in the reserve grade not sure where our depth will be coming from, will be a tight couple of weeks can’t see us getting over Easts on Thursday

    • cloudsurffer, Both Tom Burgess and Anthony Cherrington had good games for the Bears in NSW Cup but I am guessing Tom will get the call up (because of his size and recent experience). Talakai and Nielsen will probably get the call up to replace Hunt and Burns. Nielsen was less than average in NSW Cup and Moceidreke scored 4 tries on the wing and deserves to be promoted ahead of Nielsen.
