South Sydney Rabbitohs are set to re-sign boom backrower Angus Crichton on a lucrative four-year deal, which will end ongoing speculation regarding the young 21-year-old's future.
The back-rower is arguably the best South's have seen since Bob McCarthy in the 1960's. Despite being on contract next year, clubs have already lined up in a bid to secure the young prospect's future.
The Sydney Roosters, in particular, had been rumoured to be very keen on luring Crichton away from their arch-rivals.
WWOS is reporting that Crichton will be re-signed on a three-year deal, with an option for a fourth year, which will see the talented back-rower remain at Redfern until 2022.
Crichton has been a stand-out for South's in the past two seasons, despite their multiple disappointing seasons.
He finished the season with 22 appearances and 7 tries including a hat-trick against the Gold Coast Titans and will look to improve his form with a new-look Bunnies outfit next season.
