Sydney Roosters winger Mark Nawaqanitawase is continuing to deliver some of the best attacking and athletic displays we've ever seen in the NRL.

In a feeling of anguish across all fans in the NRL, there are only 80-minutes left of Nawaqanitawase action until he departs for Japanese Rugby on a two-year deal.

Melbourne Storm star Cameron Munster delivered a last-ditch effort for Nawaqanitawase to reconsider his future plans in Japanese Rugby on Nine's post-match broadcast of Friday's preliminary final.

“Hopefully you've got your phone on you after the grand final, because I can guarantee you right now that Kevvie [Walters] gonna be giving you a call - I know you've got Japan rugby after this,” Munster said to his former Kangaroos teammate, who toured together in the Ashes series last year.

Nawaqanitawase is unlikely to commit to a World Cup campaign due to his next contractual commitments with the Saitama Wild Knights in December, but it hasn't stopped Munster from giving it one last crack.

“Enjoy the World Cup mate,” Munster said with a smile.

He continued his incredible highlight reel on Friday with a length of the field intercept and incredible acrobatics to get a lofted basketball pass back inside for Robert Toia to score a crucial try.

The 26-year-old star has made a prodigious impact in only two seasons in the 13-man code since his arrival from rugby union.

Nawaqanitawase delivered an all-time finals performance, running the most metres ever in a final (329 metres) while also finishing with five tackle breaks, a double, and the elite try assist for Toia.

Although the former Wallaby put down his work to the strong team environment in Bondi and continuing to work hard to achieve the premiership goal.

“I just wanna do my job for my team,” he said.

“There's not many weeks left, so I come out here wanting to do everything I can for the team and if anything else happens, we're lucky.

“At the Roosters we pride ourselves on winning premierships and I'm excited to go out there and try and achieve that ... we've worked hard and earned our position.”

The Roosters defeated the Dolphins in commanding fashion in a 36-20 triumph in front of a sell-out Suncorp crowd.

The tri-colours now have a nine-day turnaround for the big dance and will kick their feet up and watch Newcastle and Penrith go to war for the other spot in the Grand Final.

The Panthers hosting the Knights kicks off on Sunday afternoon, while the Grand Final takes place a week later.
