Maloney, Martin facing suspension

Penrith duo James Maloney and Liam Martin are both facing suspension following their side's loss to the Raiders on Saturday.

The pair tackled Canberra hooker Josh Hodgson and received a grade one dangerous throw.

Maloney was also handed a grade one dangerous contact charge for a tackle on John Bateman. Due to his good history, early guilty pleas to both charges would see the 32-year old miss one week.

Due to prior offences, Martin is also looking at a week on the sidelines with an early guilty plea.

The Panthers face the Wests Tigers next Friday night at Suncorp Stadium.
