Penrith duo James Maloney and Liam Martin are both facing suspension following their side’s loss to the Raiders on Saturday.

The pair tackled Canberra hooker Josh Hodgson and received a grade one dangerous throw.

Maloney was also handed a grade one dangerous contact charge for a tackle on John Bateman. Due to his good history, early guilty pleas to both charges would see the 32-year old miss one week.

Due to prior offences, Martin is also looking at a week on the sidelines with an early guilty plea.

The Panthers face the Wests Tigers next Friday night at Suncorp Stadium.
