St George Illawarra and NSW forward Tariq Sims is set to be unavailable for Origin III after being hit with a two-game ban from Friday night's win over North Queensland.

Sims was handed a grade two dangerous contact charge on Michael Morgan, for his late shot on the Cowboys and Maroons playmaker.

Morgan left the field following the hit in the 45th minute for an HIA and did not return.

In order for Sims to play in the Origin decider, he would need to fight his charge at the NRL judiciary on Tuesday night, and successfully overturn the ban.

  1. What’s this? Manlove78 defending a dragons player? Must be pigs flying above my house at the moment. That said, banning Simms for what was just a good solid hit is criminal. But then again that’s just the way we’ve been treated this year so not surprising at all.
