St George Illawarra have provided an injury update on Jason Nightingale and Euan Aitken, with the pair both ruled out of Saturday's clash with the Knights.

Nightingale may not play NRL football again, after dislocating his elbow in the Dragons' loss to the Bulldogs last weekend.

The veteran has already announced he will retire at the end of the season, and is set to be sidelined for the next 2-4 weeks.

He will miss at least the first week of the finals, meaning the Dragons will have to win their first final to give him any chance of playing another NRL game.

Aitken will miss the next 1-2 weeks after suffering a hamstring strain on Sunday, and could return for the Dragons' first final.
