Storm coach Craig Bellamy has told the media on Wednesday afternoon he has not received a formal offer from the Broncos, and only has a contract offer in front of him from his current club, Melbourne.

Speaking to the media at Melbourne Airport ahead of his side's clash with North Queensland on Friday night, Bellamy spoke out about what's transpired, and the meeting he had with Broncos CEO Paul White.

"I haven't been made an offer from Brisbane. I sat down with [Broncos CEO] Paul White and that's as far as it went. At the moment I've got an offer from the Storm and that's been on the table for a few weeks," Bellamy said.

"I haven't had the time I need to make some sort of decision.

"I don't think the Storm is going to sign me up for one year. If I do move on it will be at the end of the year.

"I've never had a year off. You could look at it in two ways. It could be refreshing and go to organisations and pick up on things. We usually do that for two weeks. Having a year off, the game evolves quickly so you could lose.

"The first thing I'll be doing is deciding on what I'll do with Melbourne. The Storm offer has been there but I haven't had time to give it much thought. We have a week off after this weekend so hopefully I'll give it some thought."

Bellamy went on to suggest he would only consider the offer from the Storm first before possibly giving the Broncos some thought, although conceded he doesn't think the Storm would give him just a one-year deal to help him move to Brisbane in 2020 if he wanted to do so.

The premiership coach said he would consult his family before he made any decision relating to his future.

"When I sit down and give it some thought, it'll be what's best for me and my family and the footy club," Bellamy added.

"I haven't spoken to (my family) about what they'd like to do ... I haven't really had a whole heap of time to give it the thought it needs."

Bellamy has been at the Storm since 2003, and has a winning percentage of 67.7%.
